Remote and Video Sessions

Dr. Evans has been offering Telemental Health (TMH) services since 2016 via "Thera-Link", a secure video portal designed for the delivery of medical services.  Thera-Link is responsible for maintaining compliance with HIPAA, the federal standards for protecting the privacy of medical records and data.

Remote sessions are not appropriate for everyone.  Prior to setting up a remote intake appointment, Dr. Evans will do an initial screening with you on the phone.  Once an intake appointment has been scheduled, you will receive additional information on creating your secure portal log-in and how to best prepare for your remote session.

When practicing remotely, medical providers must adhere to additional legal, clinical and ethical standards that are designed to protect you.  The state in which YOU are located at the time of service determines these standards.  Most states prohibit Licensed Mental Health Clinicians from practicing remotely across state lines without meeting specific requirements.
